I am always delighted when a new thrift shop opens.
Lucky for the vintage shopper, it is right beside the local Goodwill store. I love when that happens, you double the chance of finding a great bargain.
Accurately call, "Little Bit of Everything", this vintage store has it all. I was delighted with it's pleasant mixture of wonderful old finds and new retro redo's.
A country cute front porch greets you, full of handcrafted and vintage decorative items.
Cathy has been a collector and dealer of vintage things for many years. I must say she has impeccable taste and style in all items retro, vintage, or collectible. She scours Kentucky, Tennessee, and Ohio for many of her treasured finds. Yard sales and auctions are her life's love, as well as, her business. Lucky gal!
Prices are reasonable by southern Ohio standards and down right inexpensive by Columbus, Ohio standards. I guess what they say is true, things are cheaper in the country!

We have another vintage silver Christmas tree just like this one in our store now. Only 150.00 Standing 7 feet tall, this tree still has all the branches inside the paper wrappers. The whole world sparkles and shines this time of year. May you find sparkles in eveything you do. One of the first items to catch my eye was this pottery vase with a cats face. Wow, what a steal, but I was to late. This item sold the same day the store opened. What a decorating piece! True to their name, Little Bit of Everything found these......Vintage Black Memorabilia salt and pepper shakers in blue.IN BLUE, can you believe that? Mint condition. I think she was asking 125.00, but they do deal. Look what I drug up from under a table, a cool wooden antique advertising bucket. You could tell this bucket had really been used for water! Why this amazes me, I have no idea, but I thought this was so cool. 1-11-2007 In the olden days, so she was told, messages were clipped to these vintage wooden railroad gaggets for the conductors or caboose men to grab on their way. She wasn't sure of the details, just that the man who owned the wooden holders worked for the railroad down in Portsmouth, Ohio. 1-11-2007 While looking around, I discovered a little vintage Disneyland. I remember watching Disneyland when I was little, Sunday night about 7 o'clock. I loved to curl up in my dad's lap and watch as Walt Disney, himself, would introduce the entertainment to come. It is my opinion today, that Disney lacks a personality. There was no one like ...Mr. Walt Disney. The shop carries lots of great art pieces. I really should have bought this vintage tile piece in an old frame. I will, if it is still there upon my return. The frame was ornate and the picture was an old tile. It was very nice, very artsy, just the sort of piece that brings summer to a room. Below you will find a signed water color. Sometimes, it just the arrangement of items that is appealing. I loved the assortment of like items that catch my eye. There was a collection of vintage blues that I couldn't quite do justice to in the photo, but maybe you can see my point. I found a collection of vintage roosters, poodles, cats, and kittens. There were even glass birds and bird cages. Nothing says 50's like poodles, cats, and brightly colored ceramic birds. My personal favorite are the brightly colored parakeets from the 1950's. Brightly yellow colored Mr. and Mrs. Tea Pots would be at home on any kitchen wall from the past. These dolls certainly have a Mexican flavor to them. The photo seriously does an injustice to these quaint dolls. Handcrafted painted faces on dried gourds. Just adorable. This dresser was in mint condition, just waiting for the right person to find it. Treasure waited around every corner. I soon discovered hat boxes full of vintage hats, scarves, and other ladies accessories. It just caught my eye. A vintage tin plate photo, she found at the Goodwill located beside her and some sort of cruise boat pass. Nice vintage dress set. I think this should belong to a museum. It was very old, I am thinking from the late 1800's or very early 1900's??? No, it looks civil war to me, but I am not an expert on dresses this old. Victorian dress? And this is actually a whole outfit. The hat, gloves, beautiful lace (you see some of it in the bottom right) , a skirt, top, and jacket. Boy, am I glad we don't have to dress like that now! Sorry, the photo doesn't do the outfit justice. To leave this thrift shop wasn't easy, especially as they had free cookies and coffee waiting at the back door. This vintage shop was exciting, full of customers, full of life. It is a wonderful place to shop, clean, welcoming, warm, and friendly. The prices were so good, I couldn't have ask for a better deal.
