Sold this weekend March 12th, 2006 - Sorry, better luck next time. One of the hottest vintage couches, I have seen in a long time. Sometimes you walk into a shop, see a piece of furniture and get that "wanna wiggle" dance in your feet.  This vintage couch made my feet wanna wiggle..  The details are adorable, apartment size, perfect for coffee shops and book stores everywhere.  And it is PINK! This couch should be featured on one of those retro tv shows! AND Did I mention it's pink, like baby pink with a hint of rose.  It is pinker in real life then on the internet.

Vintage Couch has little fluffy fringe around all the trim....and see the tassles on the bottom of couch and chair!  If I had a place to put this.........you would all be crying.........so hard.......lol....and I would be dancing around my living room............

The material is called Frieze  referring to the rough, fuzzy, lasting forever, upholstery fabric. So popular were these couches in the 1950's that babies born then, still have the patterns embedded on their tooshes, yet today.

The first thing I spied was a vintage cowboy rug.  No doubt, created during the heyday of the cowboy era, the 1950's.  When little Cowboys and little Indians fought imaginary battles, while backyard barbeques were in full swing.

Don't ask me why, but I have always been fasinated by vintage men's and women's watches. There were many vintage Denacci watches to choose from.

Bright orange glass, brings back the 1960's when Fenton was one of the most desirable glassware. When decorating your home, pick your colors, then take one corner of your room at a time and create a little scene.  Add bits and pieces with the same theme, from the same era or style, making sure the whole room coincides with those same themes, colors, and style. For instances, my living room walls' at home, are painted orange. (white ceiling) The decorating items and furniture in the room are 50's and 60's style.  The matching colors for the furniture and Nic Nac's are bolder blues, blacks, yellows, and, orange, of course.

One of the best things I like about Funk N Junk is the glassware.  Being a 60's Chick, you have to love art glassware of that time.  Larger then large, exquisite pieces of glass art.

I hope you can see this collection of "blue" in this vintage hutch. The blend of blues was quite stricking.

Look at this old safe....isn't this too cool? I'm ready for an old time ganster movie.  All I need is a Maltese Falcon. If you have a Detective service, a few added vintage private eye  touches would set the mood nicely.

Check out these 1940's vintage shoes.....I wonder if they are real?  Next time I stop in, I will check these open toe pumps and give my report.

Here you go, an old time washing machine.  How would you like to be doing your laundry in one of these!  Better filled with ice and cold drinks at the family reunion.  These old washers can hold alot of ice.  Makes a great display in your country store, filled with ice and cold pops for sale.
