The Hippie Hut carries lava lamps, incense, beaded curtains, black light posters, hippie clothes, and other retro items from the past and present.  This is My Hippie Hut Review, not their shop.  If you want to visit their shop, find their link on down the page.

The Hippie Hut may not be completely vintage, but it's true retro hippie soul never left the 1960s. Outta Site! Once again your hippie chick spirit is free and you can soar!  When I stepped into this store, I felt like I was a teenager again.

The aroma of incense, the colors, the decor............I half expected to see the Beatles walk around a corner. Alas, they didn't, but their stone cold hippie music was playing. They are located at 149 West Main Street in Circleville, Ohio this is a must see shop if you love the 1960's and early 70's.  Give them a call at 1-740-474-HEMP, don't squint your eyes, you read right. 1-740-474-4367. It is the psychedelic 60's, after all.  Monday thru Saturday 10 a.m. till 7 p.m.  Wow, great hours and best retro hippie store I've visited in years.  Very non commercial, family owned.  Look below and check out what I found at The Hippy Hut.  Totally hippie chic and best of all, they are just a few blocks away from the Circleville Goodwill Thrift Shop located at 1211 N. Court Street, in Circleville, Ohio.  So you get two treasure hunting treats in one.  Nothing wrong with mixing a little old with a little of the new.

You will find retro hippie clothing from the 1960's and early 1970's.  I love these tie died hippie skirts, dresses, and shirts. The coolest threads were the psychedelic mini dresses and funkedelic shirts.

Move aside a beaded curtain you will love the back room!  Sort of hippie wallpaper! Black light posters! Talk about a vintage flare. Ceiling, walls, floor?   Love, peace, and the meaning of life??? Could they be found here?  Am I having a flashback?

The only thing missing from my past was a spider plant in a macramé jute ceiling hanger.......the owners still have time. Vintage and Retro black light posters from the 70's are a must when doing your hippie pad.  You have to have the Jimi Hendrix black light poster, the Love poster, the Pink Floyd black light poster, and of course, the Flower Power posters.  They are all here and not rolled up so you can't see the posters, these posters are hanging on the walls and ceiling of a black light room!

You have to see the great retro hippie purses.  As cool and funky today, as they were back in the day.

You get to visually see these black light posters, as they will look in your "hippie" room, lite up. For the best in psychedelic art, you must have a black light poster.

There is not much you won't find here at the Hippie Hut, check out the Shaggedelic Austin Powers...........Groovy baby!  Is that Elvis in the background?  Now, that's a gas!

Psychedelic neon lights, peace signs, flower power, and smiley faces line the walls.  Was that a psychedelic mushroom neon light I saw?  Could have been......................

You can't visit the psychedelic 70's without breakin out some bread incense and a incense burner.  I still burn the stuff on occasion and perfer to purchase mine here for the freshness. They have a great selection of the "other" incense and, by far, are one of the largest in south central Ohio.

If you are looking for the older incense scents, try the Hippie Hut, they have it all.

The aroma of Nag Champa and Patchouli use to blow my mind when listening toThree Dog Night, The Grateful Dead, and Grand Funk Railroad to mention a few. Who remembers New Riders of the Purple Sage????  Sailin', Panama Red?  And please don't discount the Cowsills with "We Can Fly" and "Hair"  They were very hot in 1968 and still are in my world.

Tapestries and couch throw are on my want list from the Hippie Hut.  Check out the Beatles and the India Budda throw.  Look at the cool shades in front of the psychedelic image of the butterfly throw.

Loved the selection of sunglasses.  Cool shades for hot days comming.

The Hippie Hut has numerous guitars hanging on the wall, but my guitar photos didn't come out well and I shall have to go back. (Yea, that really breaks my heart.....smile:)  The owners buy and sell used and new electric guitars, amps, and drums.  Phone number is 1-740-474-4367.  If you are looking for or want to buy new or used cd's, this is the best place in town.  Just the best of the best please. They are also, interested in unusual, mint condition, high quality vintage hippie stuff. So remember if you are in the area, just beat feet down to 149 West Main Street in Circleville, Ohio.   They have had visitors drive, from as close as Columbus, Ohio and, as far away as, California, just to see this shop if you love the 1960's and early 70's.  It is that exceptional and unique. If you seen something on this page from the Hippie Hut, that is a must have, give them a call.  I am sure they will ship and I believe they take Visa MasterCard over the phone. They get a FIVE STAR ***** review from me - the Vintage Chick and you know I always say what I mean.  I know they are not strictly "vintage" and definitely not for the puritan vintage shopper.  But I liked the shop, the people, the atmosphere, and the memories it brought back.  This place is just for the coolest of retro shopping.

Looking for "far out" cool decals and stickers?  You are in luck.  I saw several Grateful Dead stickers, the Doors, and other music stickers.  There was a wall of stickers and decals.

High upon a shelf sat a row of costume mask for every occasion.  I wish I had more photos of these mask.  They were very "with it".  Below the mask were novelty and gag gifts.  My childhood wouldn't have been complete with out the whoopie cushion.

Found my first mink stole here one Saturday afternoon. Only 40.00!
