Vintage Hippie Purses and Hippy Clothing This is the place to find retro hippie chic and vintage hippie purses, clothing, and anything else we can find from the 1960's or 1970's psychedelic era.  All purses, retro and vintage sold on this page are sold "as is"  They are vintage and will have flaws.

We lived through it all, so we can say the items we offer on this page are truly as vintage as our souls.  After all......our memories can't be wrong!?  It was the best of times. On another "note", found these great songs on the web.  Has that 60's 70's feel.  So driving in the car, feeling good song.  Gotta say, the site does make you sign in, but seriously the songs "Today" and "Car or Bike or Feet" are worth the trouble.  I would be amiss if I didn't clue you in, as on your own, these songs would never be heard by you..

This vintage tooled leather hippie flower purse with the turn lock is the ultimate in hippy purses.  With it's aged dark leather and great look, it has to be the best of the hippie purses that I have owned.   The purse is too cool.  The handbag is in good shape, but not mint.  This purse has the normal wear of a vintage purse and only a couple small flaws that I can see, this is visible in the photo of the front.  There is what looks to me like fingernail polish that dripped a dribble on the front.  You can see it on the lattice to the right of the center of the purse.  Not to noticeable.  Some scratches on the back.  The colors are nice, the flowers are red and white.  Good coloring, not faded all out. I loved the purse, have carried it all summer.  The turn key lock was very secure and kept all my stuff comfy inside.  The strap was solid and all the lacing was solid.  I did add some new pen marks to the inside, but the inside is in good shape.  These purses never had a lining.  The made in Mexico stamp is in there. The side of this purse has a darker coloration then the rest of the purse.  The only flowers are on the front. and a small smattering on the back. It is one of the larger purses with the base of the purse being 11" across at the widest and 10 1/2" from top to bottom.  Nice thick leather. I like the larger purses the best. This was a purse I owned but briefly.  Ladies, sometimes I do sell purses, but they are hard to find. All yours for 65.00 which includes the shipping.  This is a used vintage item and is sold as is with no returns. I do describe to the best of my ability.  If you need more information or photos, don't hesitate to ask. I like this purse and it won't hurt abit not to sell it.

This is the back and side view of this purse.  This is more of the normas coloring of this purse, but it does have a shine to the purse.  It is not dull leather.  The top photo shows the shine.

I really loved this purse this summer.  Orange flowers with little yellow and green petals really was a great summer coloring. The finest of the hippie colors in purses. The front of the purse couldn't be in better condition.  I would call the front of this purse mint.  The back does have some marks, but nothing that would take away from this purse. As you know, I will sell nothing that I wouldn't personally be seen in public with and I am picky.  This purse is really nice, one of the small purses measuring 10" at the widest along the front and about 9 1/2" from top to bottom.  Nice thick leather. Lattice work is all good and tignt.  Staps have no visible damage. Brassing is all in good shape.  The colors on the flowers are in good shape.  Nice and vivid.  Not worn. SOLD 1-29-2008

Smaller hippie tooled leather purse with pink and white flowers.  In really nice shape, and except for some normal wear on the purse. You can't notice it well, but there is a scratch along the top part of the purse to the right of the top pink flower.  This was the first I noticed it.  I can't say it takes away from this purse.  This is vintage and has all the charm and flaws of the day.  Made of thinner leather. 9 1/2" wide by 8 1/2" tall at the tallest part of the purse, this was a fun one to carry.  It held my wallet, check book, make up, money (when I have it...lol) and everything else I needed when we went to the car shows in our 1972 Delta 88.  Anyway, the purse is yours for 45.00, includes shipping.

Located on the internets' side street, most people walk on by without ever discovering the treasures hidden here, but I am telling you - it is worth a side trip just to see the fine vintage men's clothing listed there.  Don't let this one get away.

This first Bohemian, boho, dress was for a perfect Grateful Dead Head concert.  It was a dress for fall or a cool summer's night. Gotta love velvet, rose bud appliqué, and gauzy sleeves.  I remember we wore these dresses to our senior prom too. How cool is this one!  My best and favorite of all the hippie dresses.  Deep rich red coloring with a metal zipper up the back (makes the time table for this dress 60's). The only label in the dress says "dry clean" , lot size 10.  This is not today's size 10.

Carrie, who loves the hippy days, got this dress for an old bashing Dr. Hook and the Medicine Show Concert.

This photo seems to give the colors their truer look. The sleeves are pink pink and the dress is a deep red red. Vintage dress was in good condition, no rips, no tears, no odors, no stains, threads are good and strong.  Nice wearable dress for any 60's occasion.  All dresses sold in as is vintage condition. I loved when dresses were velvet or velveteen.  Yes, Virginia, there is a difference. And no, this is not for sale, that is not what I do.  I don't sell clothing any longer as it became to difficult what with a "real" job and all.  I still collect vintage clothing, but am reduced to selling only accessories and collectibles.  I am keeping the photos and the page they are on, because I like them.

Forrest Gump funk dress! A snap could be added to the ribbon bow in the back to keep it in position, if you like.

A vintage boho, Bohemian dress made by Lorrie Deb of San Francisco.   Dark green velvet hippie dress is new with tags. This dress has never been worn. Cool, hip, happening size 9/10 dress.  This is not todays size 10.  Dress has a plastic zipper with a talon metal pull - typical of dresses made in the late 60's or early 70's.  Approximately 34" around the bust. Around 48" long.
