Located at 65 North Paint Street in downtown Chillicothe, Ohio, it is well worth your time to stop by.  Funk n Junk earns a bonus for being located beside a Goodwill Thrift Store for shopping.  Sadly, the thrift shop moved in town to Bridge Street Funk n Junk - Only the best Vintage and Retro Thrift Shop anywhere in southern Ohio!  Make sure you see the next page of Funk n Junk. You will see, the front wooden screen door, with it's peeling white paint, is the same as your grandmother's.  How cool is that?  A screen door for an entrance!  Clapping sounds made, as it slaps closed behind you, lets you know you are now, beyond doubt, drifting back in time. Soft sounds from a vintage record player, dance through your ears, as you begin your treasure hunt. Ah........ the old 33's.  The covers are works of art, aren't they?    Delight in using the vintage album covers as accent pieces here and there in your own retro living room.  Record albums really define a room's era in a very cool way. The great American outdoors!  The garden is ever so lovely when you add that touch of vintage. An old watering can fashioned into a whimsically water fountain..  That old wicker chair you were going to throw away.  Perhaps an old outhouse, wooded door opens the way down your garden pathway, leading straight to your veggies. What about a wicker basket without a bottom?  Getting ready to throw it away?  Don't, set it overtop a small flower garden...when the flowers bloom, they are sitting in your garden's basket.

Cool, really hot vintage painting of a fairy by....I think...the name signature is "Faith".  The painting screams the great 70's decorating style. Ethereal, erie, earthy.....what more needs to be said.  I love it.

Vintage dots created a cool whimisical display for any room. The Twister coffee mugs were my favorite.  Vintage pool balls in a pan would be a vintage sports addition to finish off a boys room.

Funk n Junk get a little naughty with Reform Schools Girls Gone Bad.  The books are actually diaries for your daily writting!  How cool is that?  The 1950's graphics are perfect for any retro home.  Adds a touch of the funky to your dresser.

It doesn't hurt to add a little piece of vintage McCoy, a pair of vintage nylons, and a antique plate to any dresser top.

I just can't leave the pink alone....someday I will do an entire page of pink vintage.  I loved this pink dress, the second I saw it.  If you are not using vintage clothing to decorate your walls with, then you just aren't decorating with vintage. You can do so much with vintage clothes,  add a string of pearls, a pair of vintage gloves, a purse.  The items used don't have to be perfect.  A little funk in your junk only adds to the total look.  It's like creating tiny scenes from a Hollywood screen to your home

Look for your own vintage and retro finds, come and visit the 23 Southbound Flea Market located near Piketon, Ohio on state route 23 South. The market is open 9 a.m. till 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Find an inexpensive vintage coat  in wearable condition.  Maybe, but it wouldn't last long with daily wear, you say... Of course not, but it is a fantastic decorating item.  Throw in a vintage purse, a pair of shoes and you have a show! A lady sold me a vintage coat made from lamb wool.  Very sheik.  I use it as a vintage accent piece in the living room during the winter months.
