Family fun for everyone. That is what you will find in Logan, Ohio. You can enjoy primitive camping or royal luxury cabins. You don't wnat to miss Old Man's Caves.  The hiking trails are ethereal, eerie, earthy.....what more is there to say!

Antique stores abound around every corner. Prices are reasonable, most shops are clean and well organized. My favorite is the Logan Antique Mall, 12795 St. Rt. 664 South. Open every day, air-conditioned and smoke-free. The mall is clean and has a certain "feel". Old 50's and 40's music play in the background. Prices are reasonable and the vintage items are top quality. But by far my favorite part of the store is the front porch. It's like an out door flea market with loads of stuff lining the long walkway. You can always find a good deal here. There are over 100 dealers with a very large selection of antiques. They actually have a free antique library and comfy chairs to read in. There is always free coffee and a great place to eat next door. I actually want to mention the restrooms are extremely clean, a big plus for any shop. Make sure your ask for a discount as you are paying for your find.

The Logan Antique Mall is a very large Antique Mall.  You will sure need to have lots of time for discoveries. Hungry? Try the Olde Dutch Restaurant next door.  SOOOOOO, Good!

The Logan Antique Mall was over run by dolls this visit.  This had to be an estate sale find.  Who ever originally owned these dolls took very good care of them.  The dolls were in great shape. Perfect vintage. Here are just some of the antique collectible dolls.

Artisan Mall in Logan Ohio Another fine vintage antique mall in Logan, Ohio is the Artisan Antique Mall, The top floor is filled with homemade crafts from fine local crafters.  The back of the shop and all of the basement is filled with antiques and collectibles. Their big plus is the yummiest sandwich shop in the back.  Ther you will discover gourmet coffees and homemade sweet treats. L.J.'s Coffee Shoppe in the Artisan Mall! There is a never ending supply of delectable treats.  Try their famous Triple Chocolate Suicide Cheesecake or Cream Cheese-filled Pumpkin Muffins. Take one home. Enjoy a honey roasted turkey or ham sandwich or a bowl full of hot homemade French onion or cream of potato soup. Take a break, sit down, relax and enjoy a French Vanilla Cappuccino.  By the taste of the food, you would think you never left Chicago.

My girlfriend, Judy and I took a road trip yesterday.  Girls gotta shop, you know :)  We found our way to the Hocking Hills Market near Logan, Ohio.  Actually located in Rockbridge, Ohio just a couple miles down the road from Logan, Ohio. Loved this store!  Best bargain around.  The Antique Mall is actually located midway in a little crafting center.  Not only can you feast on vintage collectibles, but there are many shops for the homemade craft lovers as well.

This large store is kept clean, free of litter, all isles and booths were well organized and displayed properly.  Oldies were the choice of background music, not to loud, not to low.  Restrooms were clean as a whistle.  I thought prices were fair market and I found a couple real bargains.  Although I forgot to take my camera in the store with me.....an oversight as we girls were so excited to find such a place.  There were a couple special booths that caught my eye.  One, was a booth of vintage jewelry which the owner had taken some pieces and added cool extras to the jewelry.  As you know, most vintage jewelry needs repairs, this owner had taken it one step further and created new pieces from the old.  They were gorgeous and very reasonable.  Jewelry  had some serious sparkle. The other booth was full of vintage clothing and you know I have a passion for good vintage clothes.  What's a gal to do? All the shops at Rockbridge, Ohio are worth a visit.  Take the time to find your way there.  Take US 33 south out of Columbus, pass the city of Lancaster, Ohio and it won't be long till you are enjoying a really nice antique mall. When you are done there you can head on down US 33 a couple more minutes and visit the Logan Antique Mall.
